The sweet, soulful, and unforgettable lady of song, Karlea Lynné, is a rapidly rising voice in jazz. Known for the candor in her interpretation and the ambience of her tone, Karlea has been widely recognized as a transportive force for her audiences, taking them on a journey with every song she presents.
In her formative years as a vocalist Karlea Lynné made a lasting impression on Florida’s music scene; performing at the House of Blues, The Tampa Bay and Wesley Chapel Jazz Festivals and, respectively, winning a National Young Arts Foundation Award.
Karlea is also the first-ever to have won Berklee College of Music’s Jazz soloist competition. She then went on to study at Berklee College of Music, cultivating her craft under the direction of industry giants such as Debra Byrd and Sheila Jordan.
Karlea Lynné made her NYC debut with her quintet at The Cell Theatre. She and her band regularly grace many stages in the northeast region including that of Smalls Jazz Club, Smoke Jazz & Supper Club, Minton’s Playhouse, Rockefeller Center’s Rainbow Room and the esteemed stages of Jazz At Lincoln Center.
She has also had the honor of sharing the band stand with a multitude of jazz legends such as Winard Harper, Ulysses Owens Jr. and Bertha Hope.
Her peers describe her as an unsuspecting powerhouse, well versed in both straight ahead jazz and down-home blues.
Heavily influenced by Nancy Wilson, Sarah Vaughan and Dinah Washington, Karlea's tone is just one of her unforgettable assets that charms every audience she encounters.
